With a special session looming, WFPL radio out of Louisville will take a deep dive on Gov. Bevin’s pension reform proposal in depth today, Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. EST during a LIVE show.

Expected guests are:
Diane Oakley, Executive Director of the National Institute on Retirement Security, Tom Loftus, journalist covering Kentucky Statehouse for Courier Journal, and Senator Morgan McGarvey (D-19th).

Sen. McGarvey has expressed concern for the speed at which Republicans are moving on pension reform, especially in light of the actuarial report on the teacher proposal indicating $4.4 billion in extra costs. He also took the position that tax reform should come before pension reform.
