KRTA representatives visit fellow members in Western Kentucky after Tornado

Tim Abrams, Executive Director

During our recent visit to Western Kentucky, we were able to meet with several KRTA members who lost their homes to the tornado on December 10.  Each of them shared harrowing stories of surviving the storms and how fortunate they feel to be alive today.     The devastation and need we witnessed in Western KY was unimaginable. While I had seen countless news stories and photographs of the impacted areas, seeing it in person was surreal. Hopefully the donations made by KRTA members to the Governor’s Tornado relief fund will play a small part in the cost of recovery in the area and the KRTA Bourgard Foundation gift to these families will be of some small help financially through the coming days.  Continue to keep the families impacted by these horrific storms in your prayers as it will be quite some time before life returns to normal.
